Jeff Martin BVM&S MRCVS

Jeff has been involved with working at the practice for 20 years, initially as a student and then as a qualified veterinary surgeon having obtained his degree from Edinburgh University in 1998. He is now practice principal and is involved in both medical and surgical procedures as well as the daily management of the practice. When not at work he enjoys looking after his cats, tending to his tropical fish, and participating in local pub quizzes. He also enjoys holiday travelling with his wife, his favourite destination being the United States.






Kevin Pugh BVSc MRCVS

After qualifying from Liverpool University in 1977, Kevin worked for 10 years in general practice in Cornwall and Lincolnshire. He has worked at the Curzon Street practice for the last 23 years. He is now involved directly with surgical and clinical responsibilities. He follows his beloved Liverpool Football Club, restores classic cars and listens to modern jazz music. He loves all animals.








Katie RVN

Katie has worked at the practice since November 2004. Following a 2 year course at Bottle Green, she qualified as a registered veterinary nurse in January 2011. Katie provides assistance in all aspects of veterinary nursing including surgical, radiological and diagnostic investigations. Together with Charlie, she runs a pet advisory weight loss clinic. She has a particular interest in dog training and spends much of her spare time at training classes and agility competitions with her own dogs.








Denise has worked at the Curzon Street Veterinary Centre since August 2001, initially undertaking reception duties. She has now taken on the responsibility of practice manager and is closely involved in the day to day running of the practice. Outside of work, Denise enjoys outdoor pursuits including mountain walking in Scotland. She is also a keen cinematic enthusiast and has a particular interest in caring for rabbits.







Charlie RVN

Charlie has worked at the practice since September 2004 and qualified as a registered veterinary nurse in October 2010 after completing a 2 year course at Bottle Green Nursing College. She works closely with the veterinary surgeons assisting with all surgical procedures and general anaesthetics. She is also involved in diagnostic laboratory analyses and enjoys providing preventative dental care. Away from the surgery she keeps herself fit by long walks with her cherished dog and attending the gym.






Chloe RVN

Chloe joined the practice in September 1999 and attended Rodbaston College in Stafford on day release. She achieved the relevant qualifications to become a veterinary nurse after 2 years of training. She has now been an RVN (registered veterinary nurse) for over 8 years. Her duties include assisting the veterinary surgeons in surgery and monitoring general anaesthesia. The bulk of her time is involved in attending to the well-being of the animals we have in our care. When not at work Chloe has an active family life caring for her 2 children and enjoys looking after her own cat and dog.






Cheryl has worked as a receptionist at the practice for over 20 years. She has a particular responsibility for pharmaceutical stock control. Whilst not attending to the needs of her treasured pet cat, Cheryl is particularly interested in bird watching and following tennis tournaments.
