Repeat Prescriptions

Your pet may be prescribed long term medical treatment. Before you run out, please telepone for a repeat order and allow a reasonable amount of time (24hours) for the prescription to be checked by the vet. Repeat prescriptions may be issued for a period of 4 months, after which time your pet will be due for a check up prior to dispensing further medication.

This is a legal requirement for the safety of your pet. This gives the opportunity to monitor the progress of your pet's condition and to ensure there are no adverse reactions.

Home Visits

If you and your pet are unable to attend the surgery, a home visit may be arranged. However, please remember this will be considerably more expensive and the vet may not have sufficient equipment and nursing assistance to give your pet the appropriate care and treatment.

We recommend that all treatments and examinations are better performed at The Veterinary Centre. If a house call is essential, please inform us as early as possible on the day.

If your pet is being admitted to the centre for a surgical or diagnostic procedure you will be given instructions regarding the withdrawal of food and water. Please arrive on time and ensure that the directions have been adhered to. You will be given a time to telephone to ascertain your pet's condition and to make arrangements for collection of your pet.
